First off...

So the new site is up and running, I have finished the social media buttons, and to the best of my knowledge, they work. I will be testing them out soon. Also, I will be dropping the FB sometime soon and will include links to that here (when it is published). Check the sidebar for more updates as it unfolds, they will be under the "Other Projects" page. I will be adding more artwork soon as well, and hopefully, I can find the time to update twice a week. 

The new site is also way more mobile-friendly, so, too all you people who prefer to access it on the phone or tablet, it is much more compatible with smartphones now. In fact, the mobile version is much sleeker and user friendly, I kind of like it more.

One of the things I want to add to the site is a page where my short stories (at least some of them) can be downloaded and read. Not all of them, but I have enough that I can share them for free. Some of the stories will include my science fiction works, Stories from Oearth, & I am also considering some fantasy poems, epics, and short stories from the world of Umbria too, although they need to be polished more. 

My long term goal with the site is to get my writing out there and provide quality stories that will inspire people, ones that they can enjoy again and again.

My problem with "The Three Body Problem"...

While straggling through the wilderness of Netflix shows the other day I came across " The Three Body Problem ". I know of story, mostly of the Chinese novel   by the same name. It's on my reading list, I just haven't gotten to it yet. My list is pretty big, so I prioritize which ones I will read first. This one was high on my list, and that hasn't changed. I suspect there is more in the book than there was in the show. Normally I don't like to watch the show before I read the book, but in this case, I didn't see any good options- There's not much on Netflix I haven't seen, at least from a critical stand point. So when I see something new, I typically like to give it a spin. A lot of my friends recommended the book, so I knew something about it. It went on the old reading list when it was first translated. I tried AI... Again... It was as suspected.

If you haven't noticed, A.I. is all the rage these days when it comes to content creation. Art, Writing, and Music are all being flooded with A.I. driven works. And very few of them are quality. They are usually ugly things that muddy the art pool or clever mimicries of existing masters. Some people are easy to fool however- you've all seen those posts on Facebook, you know the ones, where something is just off. Then you read the comments and sure enough, it's A.I. generated. Some of the music is quite funny, some of it is a little to close to the real thing.  I have written about this before, and I am still struggling with it. I have always wanted my work to be completely original, after all I cultivated the works and the skill for years and years. It doesn't seem right that Someone can screen-cap my work then stick it into an app, craft a prompt and poof! My works originality is out there for anyone who can barely type. This post is for those of you here in the states, not my friends over seas. To the rest of the free world, I feel obligated to apologize for what comes next, because it’s not just going to affect us. It will have ripples that will change everything. This election was the “go ahead” for the Putins, the Kim Jongs, and the Victor Orbans of the world. For that, as an American, I am sorry.
