It's been a while...

With all that is happening in the world, (and all that isn't) I find myself time-starved. I am working on a few more projects than I would have liked- some of which I want to work on and some of which are in the realms of 'adulting'. Those things are what must get done despite how much I want to play. The good news is I got over a few humps this last month. If I listen hard enough I can hear two things; the faint cheering of a crowd somewhere, and the sound of the world's smallest violin playing. I am not sure which I deserve more.

So, here are a couple of announcements for the upcoming months:

Firstly, there is more art coming, and more youtube videos of said art being created. As soon as I can unpack my mic, some of it will have commentary and maybe some short stories, something I have wanted to do for a long time but never got around to. 

Second, I am still working on my novels and will be posting some excerpts from them. One of the issues I have come up against most recently is that the demon-seed hell-spawn cat that lives in my house has demanded sacrifice. A laptop, and many documents were lost. So I have been adjusting to new hardware, and it seems to be going well. I really like this larger screen and keyboard. Thank you, Lenovo!

Lastly, alongside my bi-weekly audiobook, I will be posting biweekly author/creator videos with a  featured author or creator (art, stories, music, etc.). With as many visits, I feel some kind of deliverable is expected each week, and even with my time crunch, I think at least one post a week is completely doable, if not more, and maybe even another site update, we'll see.

While straggling through the wilderness of Netflix shows the other day I came across " The Three Body Problem ". I know of story, mostly of the Chinese novel   by the same name. It's on my reading list, I just haven't gotten to it yet. My list is pretty big, so I prioritize which ones I will read first. This one was high on my list, and that hasn't changed. I suspect there is more in the book than there was in the show. Normally I don't like to watch the show before I read the book, but in this case, I didn't see any good options- There's not much on Netflix I haven't seen, at least from a critical stand point. This post is for those of you here in the states, not my friends over seas. To the rest of the free world, I feel obligated to apologize for what comes next, because it’s not just going to affect us. I tried AI... Again... It was as suspected.

If you haven't noticed, A.I. is all the rage these days when it comes to content creation. Art, Writing, and Music are all being flooded with A.I. driven works. And very few of them are quality. They are usually ugly things that muddy the art pool or clever mimicries of existing masters. Some people are easy to fool however- you've all seen those posts on Facebook, you know the ones, where something is just off. Then you read the comments and sure enough, it's A.I. generated. Some of the music is quite funny, some of it is a little to close to the real thing.  I have written about this before, and I am still struggling with it. I have always wanted my work to be completely original, after all I cultivated the works and the skill for years and years. It doesn't seem right that Someone can screen-cap my work then stick it into an app, craft a prompt and poof! My works originality is out there for anyone who can barely type.
